So yea, I forgot to say hi to everyone this morning!
Hi from New Zealand. Name's Anton and I like to make things run on steam, fly the plane and boost around in my car.
So far, I am getting the vibe that this is a very friendly and active community. TBH it is the most active community for it's size that I have ever seen.
So yea, HEY ALL!
-PS: Expect to be the first people on the interwebs to get updates on the steam powered ride on which will come to life some time in the near future.

You're in good company here, and I'm sure you'll enjoy your visits.
Beware though, this place is addictive, as is the hobby.

Hi Anton and welcome from Germany. We all had a good time watching your steam mover . BTW did you really shorten the lawn with it ? Your invention might be usefull when the Oil for fuel is no longer available !
Than we havenīt only steam garden railways but also steam gardening tools ! Nice Idea!

Yea, it did actually cut the grass. It did the most work on the original motor, the day it decided to fail. It was running very very nicely and I cut the entire front section of my lawn (5Mx30M), it even did a better job than the ride on mower - with the exception of the bits of burning wood all over the lawn!).
I am just rebuilding the push mower to show at the glenbrook steam show, I even managed to score an old LPG tank for the body of the new boiler.
Thanks.
