Hi all thanks for the welcome from mogogear, befor I start sorry about the spelling. I am in to steam, model boats, model engeneering bit off cnc, been doing this for to long about 50 years still not very good work a lot in brass.
present projects it a steam tug that has been on the slip way a number of years and a mini vap, and a re build and up date of a cheddar atkinson steam wagon. I dont work very fast as I am a chair user at times.
hear are a few pictures of the tug, must find some off the steam plant.and a couple off the steam wagon having brass blocks made to act as captive nuts to make maintanane much easeyer.
oh I also do a bit with belt drives and do have a mamod mecano engine but it is un run,

Hi, and welcome.

Love the RC skylights! Do they serve any purpose other than entertainment (which is as good a purpose as any)?
johnreid

Welcome, that looks so impressive, you do good work.

thanks all for that . yes it serves a purpose it is over the boiler and steam plant so it opens to allow air in and heat out,in cold weather you can leave it closed to help stop the gas tank freezing every door and vent works on the boat, for the same reason, plus i like fiddling about

The Denying Dutchman

That's an impressive tug you're building.

no this one isent but the reason why the boat has taken so long is that as more information comes up I alter it, I have proberley built it 3 timesand I recently got some more info on the winch and saw one that someone had made that had all the engine parts moving as I had made all the parts for this one i thought it may be an idea to do the same, but it wont be steam, I am a big fan of parts working so the mast lightswork and slide up and down without wires all the doors open chains move from the rudder freeing ports swing and towing hook works as per the full size one, all the deck lights that have tape over have sidways leds in them, the skylight in the picture has been scraped now and there is a new one on slightley different, I like playing with brass and solving problems
mogogear

Peter- you solve problems well by my gauge, well indeed. Your skills , like many other machinist we have here - are a national treasure for your homelands!!
