Hi from MichiganHi everyone. Been lurking for a while (there's some great info on this forum) and thought it was high time to introduce myself.
I had four stationary steam engines when I was younger (three Mamods and a Wilesco) but my parents sold them at a car boot sale when I moved out! (didn't think I still wanted them....). Spent the next few years volunteering on various British narrow gauge and miniature lines.
Then emigrated to the USA and became involved with American G-scale electric trains. But recently caught the live steam bug again so I've been selling off the electric stuff to raise some funds. Purchased a Cheddar Iver earlier this year and I just ordered an Accucraft Caradoc (due for delivery in the next few days).
I don't have a permanent track (yet) so in the meantime I occasionally set up some temporary track on the garage floor.
A video of my Cheddar Iver can be found on my YouTube page:

A bit more info can be found on my website (now badly in need of an update to reflect the latest developments):

Anyway, thanks for a great forum. Hopefully I'll get a bit more involved in the future. Cheers, Glen

Welcome to the forum and good to see another loco enthusiast too! Must admin I find live steam much more enjoyable than electric LGB track powered loco's.
Always liked the Cheddar 'Iver' myself too, sometimes you can't beat the rugged simplicity of good old oscilating cylinders!

Hi, Glen !
Your little loco is working very hard as you can hear the exhaust beat that clearly but i like it ! Nine out of twentyfive engines i own are gauge 1 (45mm) live steam engines too and I own three vintage locos amongst them ! So your video gets eleven points of ten ! Really nice !
cheers Joe
