I've been lurking in the background of this excellent forum for a few weeks now, so I thought it was about time I stepped out of the shadows.

My interest was re-awakened about a year ago when my father brought over to my house the Mamod TE1A, lumber wagon and workshop tools (complete with their original boxes) I had when I was a child which, fortunately, had been safely stowed away in his loft.

I soon got the traction engine up and running, which impressed my son no end, and the happy childhood memories of my Mamod came flooding back.

Since then I seem to have amassed a few more, with a SR1A, MEC1, SE1, SE2 and SE3 joining the fold along with a Wells traction engine of dubious construction.
