Howdy from the frozen southwest corner of Ohio!

Howdy all!

Just became a new member here after along time of not being one!  I only have one mamod and its an old SL1 Loco.   Right now I am finishing up "americanizing" it and I will post pictures soon!

I have a few other songle engines, a little homemade one, and a kit built Graham Shay1.  But I have tons of parts I have picked up over the past few years and plan on a few more locos and a couple of boats.

I have alot of interests, one being live steam!  As well as modeling in On30, First World War history and collecting, and collecting old pre 1925 Lionel and Ives Trains.

Well, anyway thought I would post a small intro!  Look forward to talking to ya all!

Cheers,
Benjamin aka "Benji"
from the outskirts of Cincinnati, Ohio

Welcome to the forum Benji! I hope you'll find us a friendly bunch, and there's nothing we like better than talking steam.   Any chance of seeing some pictures of your engines?

Hi Benji and welcome from your neighbor in Indiana (one of three of us)...I live about 30 miles south of Indianapolis.  You are NOT that far away!

Howdy to all of ya!

And hello to my neighbors across the border in Indiana!  Hope your staying warm in the frozen weather!

I have been working on a website to display my collections and projects.  I have never done it before so its taking me a while to learn.  I am about ready to start posting some pictures on it of my Steam collection and will update you when I do.

I will post some pics of the mamod here shortly, I will wait till the light is better on the morrow..  My camera hates bad lighting!

Cheers,
Benji

Hello to you all!  Thanks for the compliments on the site!  I hope to get more done on it soon.  Very slow work.

Wallace I love your Scrat the Squirrel gif!  Only reason I like the Ice Age movies is because of him!

Hi, Benji, welcome from Germany !

Having history as a hobby it is good, but having technical History as a hobby (Steam e.g. )    is even better !

Cheers Joe

Hello from literally a neighbor in Southeastern Indiana I will have to find out just where you are as we are probably close enough to each other that we can have a Steam up soon, I have to get back to the good old USA first though. I will be arriving at CVG on Sunday night so maybe in a week or two we can meet somehow as I am probably only 45 minutes to an hour away.

Howdy!

I know where Friendship is!   I went this past summer for the rendezvous deal they have up there to visit some friends camped out.   Lovely place Indiana is.  I also sell out at the Whites Brookville flea market in the warm months of the year.

I live on the opposite side of the 275 loop in Milford.

A steamup would be great!  And I have a large amount of 45mm gauge track with those (like me) that have locos.  We could set it up in the yard or park somewhere.

Except I have to finish my mamod up first!

Keep in touch, and have a safe trip back.  I hope the weather stays good!

When the weather is better we definately need to meet. I have just acquired an O gauge Bowman Loco, I am sure that you would enjoy playing around with it too although I will need to work on getting some track set up..
Benji

I have a ton of O gauge tinplate track if it will run on that.  Enough to build a huge loop of it!
