I done a stupid thing last night.I stayed over at a mates place, to watch a few DVDs and murder a few or more beers.
I took my Wilesco D2 along, and the Chinese copy to show him.
Well, we were enjoying the D2 and watching a great movie and I forgot about the other engine.
It ran dry, and the solder let go on the cylinder.
Needless to say, I called myself a person of low intelligence and dubious parentage.
But today, I went out and bought a new pencil torch and fixed it properly.
I feel redeemed, but still stupid!

Been there, done that, fixed it. Only I did it stone cold sober and in public, while pretending to be an expert. D'oh!

I lit an SE3 up once and wondered why it just would not run then discovered I had not put any water in it (Trying to keep 3 or 4 engines running) - Thankfully no harm done.

Been there and done all most that. When at the Alto show I was getting my Jensen 95G ready to run. Did not notice I had the switch on, on the power supply. Was talking to my fellow member having a good time. I put the funnel in to put water in it and it melted the funnel tip in two. I cut it right off let it cool down then ran it for 6 hours straight. Thank goodness Jensen boilers are hard soldiered. Have run it a couple time since. It did not blue the boiler but it got REAL hot.

This is why when I am at a show I only run two at a time. That in its self is a full time job. Glade you did not hurt your SE3!

Yes, start sounding like you know what your talking about outside of an armchair is a very dangerous thing.
That's why they all sit down on tv.
I'm sure I mentioned enough of my accidents already.

Took the safety valve of my Sr1a whilst it was still partlt under pressure once and showered the missus who was sitting opposite me in a sudden downpour of steam and water (thankfully just a fine mist and she was more angry than hurt)
