it will run it no problems but I think it maybe to big and looks a little out of place. Maybe I need to build another engine now to use excess steam

Fire plus water = pressure rising!
I would be concerned with those two plugs in the face of boiler...if they blew out they could become like bullets!

those 2 plugs are threaded in and only temporary they are where the sight glass and drain cock are going to go.bits I have not made yet as glass tubing still coming
and the safety valve starts releasing at 22lbs a square inch
except when i held it down to see how much further the pressure would go.
the relief valve is adjustable so i may just lower the pressure a bit more .in the video it was set at what I thought would be about right
it is adjustable from the underneath the valve so therefore in side boiler so not tempted to adjust when a head of steam is raised

You have no worries about scale. That boiler assembly looks a perfect compliment to the beam engine.
