very nice bit of kit there, and i am looking for a larger boiler so when you do come to sell it i would be interested. But i know nothing about them but looking on ebay i think it looks like this one. Unless i am mistaken, might be worth seing what it goes for to give you an idea.

its now on my watch list to see how much it goes for

If you say its about 10 inches in length then it should be a 504 boiler. Check the bottom of the boiler and if it has 6 tubes + 1 superheater tube then this confirms the model.
Once we confirm that it is a 504 boiler then is worth at least £200 , even more if you have the original burner.

There you go, It is a 504 boiler.
The prices of stuart boilers have risen recently, even the smaller 500 and 501 models have been sold for just under and sometimes just above £200 (do an ebay search for 'Stuart Boiler' in completed listings) just last year they could be bought for much less. This maybe the right time to sell if you want to dispose of it.

It is absolutely a 504 boiler with a small bundle spent on correct fittings and if you have a correct burner it ought to be worth $500. if it is still unfired.
The throttle valve, safety valve, pressure guage, site glass with blowdown, and ball check valve all add up pretty quickly. Just be careful handling it as the insulation inside the side walls is asbestos.
They are great boilers and Stuart Turner discontinued them about 20 years ago (please correct me if my time frame is off). I would be interested if I didn't already have 3 of them unfired.

I have been watching Stuart boilers on eBay the passed 4 or 5 months and price varies from $250 to $400. So what you are saying you paid all most $11,000 US. Sorry to say but if this is true you paid WAY to much for it or did you by chance add 1 to many 0?

Jeff, he said the Harley he is buying cost 7000 pounds, not the Stuart boiler.

Wops I stand corrected. My Harley I bought 11 years ago cost over twice that new and now has 90,000 miles on it. Been in every state excluding Hawaiian but 5 states. Did Alaska in 05. I know this is off topic but but what HD are you getting? Been riding them none stop for over 40 years.

Your 504 has all the nice fittings and should fetch £250 minimum on ebay if you describe it well, point out that its a 504 with all the nice fittings and say whether that will actually raise steam in good order.
Finding the burner would be of benefit, but are the flanges for screwing the boiler down missing?

Show a good photo of the underside of the boiler so folks can see ALL the tubes ect as there is a lot of tubes underneath a 504 boiler.
