I need help!I found this when my nan gave me a box to use, I have no idea of what type of coin this is:
Winston Churchill on the front with 'Churchill' around the rim.
Elizabeth the second, with the words "Elizabeth II DE1 GRATIA REGINA F.D. 1965" around the rim.
So I ask, what coin is it, and how much is it worth in today's money?

If it has Churchill on it, I'll buy it from you

They were issued in 1965 - the year when Churchill died. It's a fairly common comemorative coin.

Seems to be a crown. Too young to know what that is though.

A nice find anyway

It is, it's a Churchill crown, a commemorative 5 shilling (25p) coin.

I remember being given one of those at the time... (yes, I was very young!).... and I was allowed to stay up late to watch the TV coverage of his funeral which was shown in the evening for some reason. You can imagine how appealing that was to an eight year old... but any excuse to stay up late!
