I Think i am a steamaholic !

Hi I am Pat from Dublin , My uncle got me interested in steam as a kid around 1975, I will never forget the smell, noise and hard work involved in 10 minutes of steam! He left me his collection of Wilesco, Mamods, unknowns, and tons of electric locomotives, carriages, tracks etc etc. I am cataloguing his collection at the moment (thats how I came upon you guys). I seem to favour "heavy" engines like the Stuart Turners Etc (oops am i allowed say that!)
I am hoping to show you guys some of my stuff over the next while, you might be able to identify some, swap some etc etc.
Some of your resorations are absolutly awesome, and i have a few potential projects i would like to share.

Looking forward to learning from you all.

Thanks,

Pat.

Welcome to the forum Pat! You've got some very nice stuff there, from the little "Harbro Flyer" to the bigger items. The Stuart twin looks like it's in pretty good shape. Have you tried it on compressed air?
Pmackh

Yes, I ran it this evening, It worked a treat, the sound from it was fabulous. I cant wait to try it for real.

Good stuff! I'd love to see a video of it.

Will do Steve, How do I upload video ? is it the same as a photo?
Steve_S

Yes, you can upload it to Photobucket then paste it into a post just like a still picture, or you can do similar with YouTube.
