Aye, a Bowman M180 - the smallest Bowman, and one of the last in production. Very nice runners.

Made towards the end of the Bowman production, round about 1935.

Cranko, Chimney is 153 mm long and 20mm diameter, flared out to 26mm at the top for 5mm. It is of rolled aluminium. The chimney is located on a wooden dowel and has a 4mm hole at 50mm height for the exhaust tube.
The burner body is 48mm diameter and 15mm high to the rim, rising to 20mm where the wick tube goes into the body. The tube itself is 65mm long, 55 of which protrude over the rim of the burner body.

Were the cylinders painted?
I have the one like that but with gears. It has no gears though, or chimney, or exhaust pipe. It didnt have a safety valve but my grandad made me a darned good replica

Cylinders were painted originally....the geared version of the M180 is the M175, it also has a marginally larger boiler.

A pleasure mate - the filler plug screws into a brass bush. The tube is 5/16", so I guess 3/8" would do fine as well.
