Information on heat output from..Hello all
I once more seek your expert advice. I would very much prechiate if anyone could tell me the relative heat output for burning pure methanol, methylated spirit and pure ethanol. does anyone have some information to share on this ? |

If you mean the flame temperature then it is about 1920 F and this table will help you
http://www.derose.net/steve/resources/engtables/flametemp.html Do however note that Methanol comes in different grads with different levels of purity. If it has been watered down then naturally the water will reduce the burning temp. |
