introductionSorry everyone, for barging in without introducing myself. The name's Frank or Franco....I'll answer to either. I'm a diesel fit
ter/mechanic from southern Ireland- Co. Waterford.
My interest in steam goes back forty odd years to the little mamod I murdered when I was eight. My next steam experience was in the mid eighties, when I took part in the restoration of a Ransom's,
agricultural engine....it was a hell of an experience...hot riveting, and so on. At the moment I have just two engines- a d16 Wilesco, and an S50 Stuart, but I expect it to grow considerably!
That's about it, except to say that the blame for my present condition lies squarely on the shoulder's of two men...Indiana Rog, and Calypso, whose utube videos triggered it!
Gentlemen..thank you!!!
Franco.

Another big Scottish welcome Frank.
You've come to the right place, although you may find that your pocket feels a bit lighter once you really catch the bug.
I look forward to chatting steam with you.
Sandy.

You're welcome Franco.
I'll have to include appropriate warnings in my future videos.
Danger. Watching this video may result in addiction to this hobby, and may also result in a massive depletion of your bank account.

Hi Franco...welcome to the forum and I'm delighted that my videos had a hand in breaking your will and bringing you into the steam fold!!!
I too am from Indiana (if not obvious)...there are three of us known steamers here in the middle of the US and more in the fringe states.
Good to have you with us.

Indeed. It was Roger's Steam Roller video plus a couple of others that got me started rebuilding my neglected traction engine. Now all I do is fuss with the engine. My wife can't understand why the heck I spend so much time playing with something that just gives off fumes and moves back and forth in the hallway.
