I'm presently waiting for a Radiguet boiler and unknown engine, that I won on Ebay, to arrive.

The boiler has a burner attached that I had assumed was for gas but after looking at it again I think that I have seen a simillar one that vaporised metholated spirits.

If it is a spirit burner I would be pleased but would need to know a lot more about how to regulate the meths before I'd risk a flood of burning meths under the boiler.

I realise it has a tap, which would probably regulate gas well, but meths would probably need wicking material or a drip feed from the fuel tank to inhibit gravity flow

After the unit arrives I will post some more pictures in the hope that the engine can be identified too

I'd say it's almost certainly a gas burner. There's no way you could control a meths burner with a simple tap like that.
