Is this a Supermodel?
If so I think I know which one and I'll look forward to watching this get built.

So far so impressive, I like it.
But I see talk of supermodels, are there going to be pictures of Elle Mcpherson or sometime soon?

Clever differential!

after much muttering and mumbling and numerous rebuilds we finally have a 3 speed and reverse gearbox but have discover the rear differential must be out of a Holden as it slips and makes all sorts of funny noises when the pressure comes on so it will have to come out for rebuild .

Thats what I love to see, a whole stack of brass gears.
I think its the brass gears I love the most in Meccano, probably why I don't buy any modern stuff, cant stand those plastic gears.
Gice me the good old red and green Meccano.

I do like the blue and gold and nickel too but its hard to get that in good condition for a reasonable price.

second attempt at diff at least it works
looking down on motor I do not posses a ER20 or ER15 electric meccano motor so went looking in shed and come up with a cordless drill that the battery is knackerd and what a chance it was as shaft has a gear that is compatible with meccano so doctored some meccano base plates and now have a 12 volt reversing motor that bolts straight in
front end radiator made up from Nickel 2 1/2 inch strips with washers in between each strip on threaded rods
it is now time for panel beater and body work
