J. B. Edlingtons Co GainsboroughJust got back from the factory!
I couldn't get many pics, it were really really dark inside.
The whole shed were held up with like 2 foot thick wooden beams, and amazingly ornate cast iron columns.
I saw where the engine used to be, the massive Marshall boiler, the chimney, foundry etc.
All very sad!
I were going to buy one of them columns off the website, but they had been sold
I'll go in when they are knocking it down, and see what I can scrounge, but she (yep, the company is run by a woman) said that she wants to keep these columns.
Anyways, I'll put the pics on soon

Sorry about the poor quality of these, it were real dark in there.
A silver medal they won in the 1920s
On the left, where the Marshall steam engine used to be, and on the right, where the MArshalls boiler used to be!
The assembly shop
One of the magnificent cast iron columns that hold the building up
The massive beams from 1885 that hold the place together
The outside of the engine shed, with the remains of the chimney

Give it a few years, people will be like "oh there's nothing left of our old Victorian buildings, I wonder what they were like" and all that.
Blame the friggin council and the government! And Thatcher!!!
