James 2008 STIA FleischmannHere ya go James, let's hear the story from everyone.

Errrrmm
Well I got the biggest Fleischmann ever made 
Steamed it up later on, and it wouldn't go, but when it did everyone (like 20 people gathered round watching) all cheered
I belted up the dynamo and Sandy said "Jimbo's engine... with soooothing light"

That was great! It took MM and his brother Paul to fill up the boiler, and it took just over two thirds of a bottle to fill the boiler
It took a while to steam, but when it did we all cheered and everyone in the big shed looked at us
Also, there were two rings of people around it. Probably the inner people were protecting the people in the outer ring in case of explosion

Two SE3 burners in it!! The firebox started changing shape
I kept burning me hand on it but every time Sandy missed it with the camera!
And then I grabbed hold of the exhaust pipe

Forgot it were under the base, went to pick it up and OUCH!
Made people laugh though, that's the main thing

When that engine kicked into life, we all let out a roar.
I bet the STIA has heard nothing like it, and it was all in good fun.
Some of the comments were priceless.
Has it started yet?? No. Is it going yet?? No. Get Mooseman to breathe on it. (It started a couple of seconds later.)

By the time it came to running it I was knackered and high as a kite onmeths fumes!

I laughed, cos I went outside, came back into the big shed, and it were all proper smokey, like it hit you like a brick wall. Couldn't hardly see, but there were a big sign outside the door - No Smoking in this building

It sure seems as you all had a great time- maybe a power vet in the roof is called for next year.......
