James and MM's flatbase collections - as of April 2008

With the new addition of the SE4, I thought I'd take a few more pics!

Mamodman123

What a sight lad on a Friday morning

Your collection has come on leaps and bounds in the last few months, you should be very proud of yourself
steamyjim

A beutiful collection James!
James

Thanks lad!

Aye it's not bad! Need a couple of mazaks and a couple more pre war ones!
steamyjim

Before you say it...my Mazak flywheel MM2 is NOT for sale
Nick

Your thing really tops it all off!
Atticman

What a great collection James,

So far i have 3

That big one though looks a bit out of place, not dainty enough
James

Nice try

Thanks guys!
steamyman

luvvlee engines  there James. can't beat Mamod flatbase.
Les Marsh

That is an impressive collection James.

Do you want to sell any.
James

Wallace

Very nice collection mate.
mogogear

Well laid out james- A non-Mamod owner question: Did all flatbase Mamod's come with the little feet at the corners? and some just got lost or.....?
Wallace

Hi mogogear.

There might be the odd exception, but in general the pre war Mamods didn't have any feet, and the post war did
MooseMan

Only just found this thread, and now I've come over all sweaty....

WOW!!!
mogogear

Thanks Wallace- all these little trivial indicators ... so much to know...
Mamodman123

Hope you don't mind Jimmy but keeping within the theme of flatbases...

We've had so many new threads over the past day or so I thought i could share this one with you

anyhoo:

A select few engines that are easy on the eye  . At the moment i'm happy with what ive got and see no major flatbase aditions in the near future

How did that MM1 creep in there
Lewis

good stuff james

you wouldent want my mazak mm2 flatbase as its repainted
Manxman

I'm also playing catch up. James your taste does improve with age and that collection seem to just get more serious each time you add to the pics. Lovely engines.

MM, yours of course show your continued class. Stunning examples. Who knows at this rate even I may want a stationary.....
bessytractor

I want
James

Thanks very much guys

MM, great engines!

Not mad at me for hijacking your thread then
James

Naa!
oldstuff

You got an SE4??!! Bet that was a good day, eh?
Beautiful collection, James!
James

Thanks Chuck!! Long time no speak, you alright mate?

Yeah, got the SE4 yesterday, see the other thread in this board
oldstuff

I'm hangin' in there, Jimbo. 'Course, you know, it's no coincidence your SE4 and
my return occur at the same time. The reason I was away is I had to go to Tibet,
Mecca and the Vatican to meditate and persuade the gods on your behalf!

Normally, I can just look up to the sky and get it done, but your case required
a most intense, hands on pleading.

Sorry Sandy, I should've mentioned that all future requests must wait until I recover.
The doctors say I need knee replacements from all the knealing, spinal surgery
from all the bowing, and a new brain 'cause I burnt mine out. It'll be hard to
find a brain to match 'cause mine came from A. B. Normal.
