Jensen rivets?how did Jensen rivet BOTH sides of the boiler?

If you are talking about the early soft soldered boilers they used Rivets that are preformed on one side and just push them into the drilled holes and then soldered them up.
It stops the end caps from moving as they are soldered and provide extra strength even though they are not actually rivetted on both sides.
I'll add I've never pulled apart an old Jensen boiler but this is what I would of done.

Tony has it exactly right....they are technically NOT rivets at all, they are what is called an "eschuchen pin"...
Supposedly Jensen had some sort of rig that would drill all the holes simultaneously. Once pins were pushed in place, they must have been soldered from the outside as they held end caps in place and it would have been impossible to then reach the insides.
The rivets/eschuchen pins were done away with when they introduced silver soldering which gave ample strength vs. early soft soldering used with the riveted type boiler.
