Just one of those days...Today was not a good start to bringing in the new year for the start of college
1) The car wouldn't start, so I had to cycle to the station.
2) My ticket price has risen
3) I missed my train, but luckily I was only 5 miuntes late for college
4) Did my knee in after misjudging a step...
5) I didn't have lunch as the Fish & Chip shop was closed and there was no way I was paying God knows how much for reheated food from the canteen...
6) Felt ill (and almost threw up) after going over some rather unruly speed bumps on the entrance road to Shoreham airport...
7) Had an argument with a chav
Got caught in a downpour with high winds
9) Tired all day
I am now completely knackered, and hope tomorrow will be a better day One highlight from today though, watching planes taking off from Shoreham airport and sitting on the bank of the River Adur during a break from Pneumatics watching the sunset

Sorry to hear that MTA, but maybe tomorrow will be better!
At least you can escape from the harsh reality here on the forum for a while
Erik (who didn't had a very good day either )

... Simon, as we say here in this country: It wasn't me, I wasn't there, and it isn't my fault.
No, really: If the door's blocked, use the window. If that's barred, break through the wall.
Tomorrow will be wonderful, Simon!
Cheers, mate!

Cheers lads. I suppose I could say "Could it have been worse?", but knowing my luck it probably could have been

Today, we were playing rugby in PE, and it apsoloutely silin' it down. Coming down like stair rods! And it were hailing aswell! The pitch were all skwad and blather, we were falling all o'er! I went to wipe this lad out, missed him, slid like 10 foot on me gut, wiped out my big hard man mate who went head 1st straight into all the shit. Were rate funny! Then the teacher who's real good, were like come on then Chantry, so I ran at him, and he didn't go down, so I grabbed one leg, pushed him off balance then grabbed the other and floored him LOL
And then this little weedy ginger lad had like no mud on him, so my PE teacher let me pick him up, carry him to the biggest girthyest puddle he could find, chuck him in it, land on top of him and crush him LMFAO!
It were amazing!

when I was in year 7, we were having a talk during games from the teacher, and we had this lad in our year then who was less than dim. In fact, when he returned to see us last year in 6th form, he made a complete arse of himself, but I digress........
the teacher was talking to us, and he said summat to this lad, which was derogatory but in good fun.
The lad responded by grabbing the teacher by the neck in mock strangulation.....
The teacher didn't do anything for a second or two, and those seconds were epic, the silence was like no other.
Then the explosion came, and I got the full effect of it, standing point blank range as I was.
It was dramatic, and over in seconds (the word expulsion and various other unprintables were used) but it gave us a good laugh later, and it also gave me an amusing memory of school that I shall cherish for as long as I live!

threatened him with the fattest most graphic expulsion ever, and told him what a silly arse he was!
LOUDLY!!!
I've actually never seen someone go quite as red.

LMAO!
My PE teacher gave me lines the day before for rugby tackling my mate in the form room, so I thought I'd get him back!
Everyone laughed at him like a rate dick
Then he got this lad and rubbed his face in the mud cos he chucked mud at him

My brothers who are as fanatical about footy as I am about steam engines refuse to be on the school team for that very reason!

Go and play for the school rugby team it's great. Don't worry about getting up early on a Sat morning, just don't go to bed on Friday night
Have a nip of something medicinal before kick-off and you'll play your best ever

I had one of those days today, got soaked unlocking the school at 6.30, got soaked again doing my lollypop duties at 8.30, and then again this afternoon. Now hung up my very wet 'wet weather gear' to dry ready for the rain they predict for Monday. Good job it's the weekend.
