Do you mean when the vent caught fire, if so no, the windows were closed but it could have been a
draught from the accessory running.
Les

Mamod Wagons, a Wilesco Water Cart and a homemade log wagon.

Mamod TE's, SR's, a SA1 & SW1

Les, I think you have the consumate collection of British Steam...wow, amazing to see them all organized as you have.  I personally like the Cyldon's and the Wells however...quite unique engines.

You must have an engine in every nook and cranny in the house!

Jeez Les, you've amassed some amount of first class gear.

It just needs a couple of things doing to finish it off and then it's ready for steaming.

Thank you, there are one or two that either you haven't seen or missed seeing them when they were first posted.

I still have to photograph a lot of the engines, some British, some German and the Argentinian one and then there's all the accessories.

Lynn has seen most if not all of the engines and I am quite lucky in the fact that she likes playing with them as well so she doesn't complain, I only get "what have you bought now".
Les

madeinenglang wrote:

Nope, I stole the spare bedroom.
scalex

Les i think you might need a hole stage instead of a table for all your engines what an awesome collection you must be very very proud
Les

Thank you all for your kind comments, yes I am proud but I am only a caretaker of these at the moment, as for needing a stage I must admit I do have problems taking pictures as there is nowhere big enough in the flat.
johnreid

THe room where Les keeps his collection isnt very big either, one enters the room and it is sensory overload. A fine collection that just keeps improving.
Wallace

Beautiful display Les
IndianaRog

Les, I have never seen such a crane, what a wonderful piece of kit.  I bet you can't wait to finish it up and steam it.
kusuchi

Would love to see pics of the spare bedroom.  Do you have it nicely displayed or is it just crammed wall to wall?
robertosala

Les, what a beautiful collection. I am impressed and overwhelmed.
Love those beautiful Mamods. Lovely colors, so well constructed and charming engines.

Will try to have one... hope in a near future.

Rob.

One of the parts that needs doing is the reversing lever and the other is the boom supports, then it will be fired up.

You're all welcome anytime, it is crammed in an organised way and I have had to add extra shelves since I finished the first lot.

I took these pictures this morning and as I put them all back I realised I had forgotten to add the Power Saw to the first photo, so I took some again just of the complete set.

SEL Workshop Accessories.

Sandman

More excellent pics Les.

I really like that little Falk on the right.

I've got the lesser model, and it's one of my favourites.

I'll feature it later.
Les

These are Multum Accessories, they are very similar to SEL in nature but made from a different type of plastic. The only thing I can find wrong with these is that the lineshafts will only run three accessories at the most and they made four different ones.

More great additions Les.

That beam engine is something else.

That little sausage maker was working away. When he stopped for a second, I could almost hear him say, "How many friggin' sausages can you eat Les??"

Brilliant mate.

Thank you Sandy,

Not many left to go but I still have some to photograph but they will have to wait until tomorrow and better light.

I was totally suprised and amazed at the power of the SP1, I find the Minors are some of the best engines for running workshops.

Sandy, if you are ever going to buy an Australian engine I would thoroughly recommend the Steamco STC-04.

The Luton Bowman Models company bought the name and rights of the original Bowman company many years after it closed down.
