did you know that mamod is pronounced maymod.

Actually it is more correctly pronounced Ma Mod which is a contraction of Malins Models.

Pauly I believe is correct Chris.

There was a discussion about this some time ago. I believe in 'the bible' it does say it should be pronounced May - Mod. As Malins is pronounced May - Lins.

I'm sure those of us who have the bible can check.

I always thought it was pronounced Mah'moed - after the Islamic God of Steam Models.

I stand (actually sit) corrected. Having just read Page 9 of the bible, it was indeed intended to be pronounced Maymod.

Seems Wikipedia, the free online encyclopedia got it slightly wrong!

I've been away on 3 trips recently, and the system that highlights postings I've not read, or new postings, plus the e-mail notification system, quite clearly no longer work properly. So I manually need to go through each forum to discover new postings & updates sometimes. Obviously I missed this topic the last time.
