loco burner helpHow do you set the meths burner up, its been a while and i've forgoten how

well on my jane I never take it out so I fill it up and while holding the engine up stick the lighter up between the frames to light the wicks 
but theres probably safer ways of doing it

sorry, i meant how do you sort the flame size out and whats it meant to look like |

If you are talking about a standard 3 wick IP meths burner just have the wicks 2 to 4mm above the wick tubes.
If after a run you have heaps of soot on the engine lower the wicks. Blue tips on the flames is what you want, not all orange. No real science just have a go. |

Is the IP meths burner (for mamod locos) meant to have a cork or stopper in the fill hole above the tank? Mine is just open and I'm not too keen on what might happen if the loco tips on its side...
