M158Hi
a few weeks ago I purchased a Bowman M158 from ebay that is missing the gear and gear shaft. I would like to have a new bronze gear made. Does anyone know how I could get hold of the dimensions (diameter, pitch, number of teeth) for that gear?
cheers

M158Hi Steve
thanks and I am looking forward to your post.
I do have a M135 that came with the gear, i have not taken it apart yet to measure the gear but since the M135 is bigger than the M158 I would think that the gears in those two engines are also of different size. Am i wrong?
cheers

Hi Polimero... sorry for the delay. The gear wheel on the M158 is the same as the one on the M135, even though the M135 is a bigger engine. In fact, the same gear wheel is also used on the M140 and the M122. So, you can take the measurements from your M135 gear wheel. I've just measured mine and it has a diameter of 47mm, and it has 56 teeth.
Sorry again for the delay.
