Make a Fountain out of your Mamod!Hi everybody.
Although I do not own a Mamod, I have got a good Idea 
You just have to got a Mamod Minor or something like that.
Then you take something like a metal dished plate and 2 pieces of small copper tube (like on your engines)
You solder It into the plate and into an old mamod safety valve.
This is just a rough guidiance.
But I draw two pictures that show what i mean!
 
You screw you selfmade fountain into your mamod. Fill on some water into the boilder.
Then you fire up ANOTHER engine and connect them with a drive band.
The turning engine will pump air into the boiler und press the water out into the fointain....
The only problem is that probably it will not sprinkle along, but just bubble into the plate (because of the second tube) 
The special on this construction should be, that the steam engine doesn't get damaged and that you can always take it off... 
Maybe someboby has got a good idea how to improve it?

Similar to the old Doll fountain accessory, although first time I've seen one with bits of wire sticking out the top

Yes, the princip is similar.
But these fointains are quite expensive, so i thought this can be a cheap alternative...

To get a better flow you could solder a small pipe on the exhaust pipe that is threaded. You could attach the fountain pipe to the thread (wich means the fountain will be removable). This will mean that the engine sucks up the water through the steam pipe and out of the exhuast pipe.
And by soldering just a small bit of threaded pipe on the cylinder you will do very little (if any) PERMANENT damage to your engine

Yep! They wanted $100 for this one on US ebay but no bids, I see, so I'm all for cheaper alternatives

i think we are all for cheaper versions
but i wouldent ruin a mamod just for it

I got one from Falk, not in best condition but fully working.
Got it from a flea market for 5 euro or so...many years ago

I've never had any luck on a flea market/ car boot!
All I see are golf clubs and playstations
