if this forum should crash etc, there is a back up, i havent done any work on it yet, as this one is fine.

Hi Mate, just get onto the link given by James at the start of this thread. When the forum comes up, rejoin as if you are a new member, but keep all the same details, name, etc.

Then forget about it, if this site crashes, we just switch to the other one.

Hopefully, the need won't arise.

Sorry to stick my oar in,  but wouldn't it be better to have the backup forum hosted with another provider?

Any problem is likely to be with myfreeforum.org so having the backup forum with them is still putting all the eggs in one basket.  

There are other options.  e.g.  http://www.makeforum.org/home.php

I hate to agree, but if a back up was needed, another host would be wise as the downfall of the host would most probably be the need for the back up.

Just a thought, might be an idea to put a link in the back up forum to here.  Then in the event that any lost souls searching the web for a model steam forum, should stumble across it, they will be directed here.
