Hi mate, except for the pre war engines the boiler collar thread sizes are, whistle 1/4" BSF, safety valve - 1/4 or 3/8" BSF and overflowplug, 3/16" BSF.

The 1/4 BSF is not a size regulary carried in the local hardware shop, you will probably have to get that from a specialist shop.

None of which will be easy to find in US

I could give you an online shop in Australia that would sell them but postage would cost as much as the items.
Try visiting your local newsagent and have a flick through one of magazines made in the US for model engineers you will probably find adverts for tool suppliers in that, that would have them.
