You're right I've got one in green. I've never seen that one before. They also make it in yellow.
I like that. Another one to add to my list but I don't think I'll be getting one.

MSS (I think) is someone who left mamod and took the rights to the locos with him.

This a copy of the post I sent 8_10 Brass Cleaner. I guess it gives a quick potted history of the story.
Hi,
Here's a quick explanation of the two firms and their common history.
Mamod in the early 80's got into some serious financial difficulties and started to be sold off and moved around. With each move the product range reduced and parts of the tooling etc were left behind.
David Evans (who worked for Mamod) brought up the Loco part of the company in one of these early 80's moves as no one else wanted it.
He called his new company Mss (Mamod Sales and Service). He had veru little money for the development new models and so carried on making a copy of the Mamod Loco. A few years later he made enough money to add a tender and to make a 'saddle tank' but really this is still the old Mamod loco.
Move forward to about 2002ish and Mss changed it's name and is now called Model Steam Specialist.
Another couple of years and Mamod want a Loco again and have to design a new one. This is introduced and is a direct threat to the Mss models.
David Evans has had to fight back and introduced his Brighton Runners series (going to be 5 models). The first of these is a steam van (direct challange to Mamod DV1).
A steam car is the next model due by Mss but they are nearly 18months behind the original dates they said the model would be in the shop.
A bit of a potted history but I hope it helps.
