Question Ricky. ... What/or how do you to fix a rusty base?

The reason that I ask was because I have Mamod raisedbase with some bad rust in one corner.
I couldn't find a new base so, what I did was to buy a second one.

Yes I'm a little crasey, but I've done that before too.
But just wondering if there was a way to repair these things.
