Oi, Rob! I don't think the're at scale at all. They're decent, well made and loveable toys.
Cheers, mate!

That's right, a toy.
Still! There is an answer for the man.
The scale of a TE1A, if run with hard water, is...
chiefly lime.

Manx got some Busy Bodies people for his Wilescos but Mamods are around the same size and the same figures will fit my 16mm loco so you could say around 1/19.2 but that is a very rough guess and the scale could easily be stretched by several numbers either way.
As Mamods are just an approximation of what a steam tractor looks like not a copy of any one and in real life they made big and small ones so it depends on which prototype you measure it against.

I've noticed a Mercer tractor is a similar size to a Mamod, and apparently Mercers are 5/8ths of an inch scale.

I'd love a 1:1 Scale Mamod.
Can you conceive the power in that cylinder!!
Need a crane to lift the burner in and imagine the flame for 40 Gallon of Meths!!
I wonder what the scale speed would be?

Yea, I'd go with Tony. Busy Bodies and also P&J figures look great with a TE1A.
I guess because real Traction Engines come in such different sizes and the Mamod isn't a copy of anything individual, a range of figures could look right.
At the moment I'm really enjoying the Busy Body figures (and you can get a Fred Dibnah.

I'll tell you tomorrow.
I've got a clip on one for my Lady Anne but it should be good for my Mamod too.
I got the type that only have one leg and clip over the Roundhouse lubricator.
I don't think I will have time to get a photo up tomorrow but will within a day or two.
