Mamod SE1 (postwar) Burner

Just recieved the postwar SE1 I bought off e-bay, it looks pretty good, a little rusty, but nothing to bad. Only thing missing is the burner. And a bit of a dint in the firebox, that should knock out. Some of the blue decal is still in place.

Can anyone post a few pics and dimensions for the proper burner for it, I assume a 2 wick job with a plug and green.

Another question - would one of Ian Grantham's 2 wick jobs be accurate if It was fitted with a plug?

Is this the one?

Looks nice at least on the ebay pics.

I have a similar one needs restoring, but the burner is black/ deep deep blue, 2 wick and  has no stopper.

Here it is powering my Bowman

his might be a bit small I think you could ask him though

the one for my 46 SE2 has no stopper, the holes are too small for any sort of stopper!

Duh, is mine an SE1a then, the fly is more goldish and its superheatd , so maybe black burner in 1945, green no stopper in 46?

Wish there was still a few bibles available at MSS

no they were blacky greeny the earlier ones tended to be black like the hobbies ones, then they went kind of a dark green then the lighter green we see today.
