mamod SE3**ITS DONE!!**got this one of mitodie aka mitchell the engine is ok but when I got it the burner was broken so going to have to fix that one .
At some point the engine has been painted not the best job in world I am going to do a full strip down just need to find out where I can get the mamod green paint from.

You might luck out and the ugly green was applied over the good, it might strip off without damaging the good green. That is the hardest color to match over here, I just hate it when the green part is painted over like that.

no good green under the paint I might get some green paint ad some white paint to it and see how it go's

Ive had one of Mitches, he usually paints straight over, so I bet with some cellulose thinners, from Halfords, and Elbow grease you will get the original paint back there.
So far so really good though

really sorry about the c**p paint job there was a show comeing up and needed to get a coat on :S
and the estimat is from a show and thay needed an estimat so if the engine got stolen id get some money back lol

What paint did you use on the firebox?
Great progress so far and the black boiler straps look good. Should end up looking a treat.

Is VHT a particular trade/brand name or just stating that its very high temperature paint? the last time I was in Halfords i had a look for some but couldn't find it, do they normally stock it?

Looks great! Much improved. I was going to ask the same thing.. I think the cranks should be 180 degrees off from each other. It will not run like that... at least I don't think it will....
