Mamod steam roller with newly restored canopy

Well it's finally finished, bought a canopy from ebay & shortened it to fit the roller, stripped the paint off & repainted. Used some new stickers & now it's complete. Hope you like

Very nice - lovely colour - how did you shorten the canopy?
MrMamod

The finished job looks superb and looks to like you used the same method as me to shorten the canopy as i have done a few for rollers.

They are very easy to shorten and you open up the rear end of the canopy on the corners then remove the metal strip with the canopy support attached then trim the metal canopy to the required length and fix the canopy support ect back in place.

As Mr Mamod states it's very easy to shorten the canopy, as Mr Mamod describes too, but the metal bar you have to also cut to fit when you have shortened the canopy. It's the first time I've shortened a canopy & took about 20mins to do
Thanks for all the comments!

Love the "red" colour i found it in my local car parts shop it's called APORTO RED, used normal matt black for the chimney & old english white for the inside canopy
