can anyone help with one of these only the steering bit who makes them ,how much are they .i did see some on e-bay awile back but did not take much notice but now i could do with one can you help ??

Most local hardware stores like B&Q do a great assortment of chain and i would think a lot cheaper than buying elsewhere.
Just take a length of chain with you to match up the link size and a lot cheaper i would think than buying esewhere

Thanks for the replys but i dont think i have explained myself very clearly its the steering housing i want so that i can mount some cannopy supports from it Phil you know the cannopy

Then sorry cant help, like you I saw them on ebay a few weeks ago and wondered where they had come from as i have not seen them in any of the commercial guys internet shops.

forgive me if this is just an impossible sujestion, but have you considered sending your problem to Mamod directly ? they must have the part, if they make the engine with that part on it.

I don't think you can actually steer with that it is for show .

Thats correct the mamod one is just for show but i have not seen one close up to see if it could be addapted to work
