Mamod SW1I have been after one of these for ages and i finally have got a nice green SW1 from around 1972 or thereafter. It is a meths fired version with the level plug, i also fitted some tyres from Forest Classics which i think look really good.
All in all i'm very impressed with the size of it and it has to be my favourite mobile.

Thanks guy's, i'm very pleased with it.
Dave, i can take the body completely off this one. I guess the new ones are riveted on judging by yours.

Workhorse Geoff, as soon as i sort the steering out. This engine will be steamed as i don't keep unfired engines anymore.

Good
If looked after they don't deteriorate.

Sorry Rog but it probably won't be there as the only Mamod i'm taking is the showman's for the kids, rest of the stuff will be US/Oz engines as that is my theme for this year. I hope others will be taking their SW1's though as the design is 40 years old 1972-2012.
Thanks for your tips on the steering in the other thread as i worked that out with turning the axle and not nut bit.

Like with my other Mamod mobiles this engine has now been named:
Just need some sacks & barrels for the back now.

They do take up a lot of room. I shall try to bring one myself then.
