Even the earliest with the plain flat roof goes for max of £150-180, quite often cheaper depending on how its listed on ebay, often the seller doesnt know what a rarity they have. They dont come up too often though- 2 or 3 a year max?

I still think you can get a decent TE1 for about £50.00. The only models that go higher are rare limited edition and the very early 1963 versions with the gold sign writing.
The trick is just to keep looking. Loads were made and new ones come up on eBay every day, even earlier models.
If you see one you fancy, either post a pic on the forum or send someone you trust a pm. They will soon tell you if it's the right model and price.
I'm with you, I love the TE, in all its styles. I've got a fair few, all different and am still looking to fill in the gaps in my collection.

As Manx says, there are loads and loads of TE1s on Ebay, they come up every week, so just wait and you will get a 1965 -1967 for around £50 to £75 depending on the condition.
