Marklin 16051 (The original 4158 fom c 1925)If, like me, you had been wondering what the original of this engine actually looked like, here are some pictures of one in excellent condition.
This is the Marklin 4158/91/7 made in about 1925. This is the model the 16051 repro was based on and includes an optional dynamo.
It is currently for sale on e bay @ 1910 Euro with 19hours to go.

Thanks for sharing Richard...I have seen one from a greater distance and poor pics...but that one is gorgeous and in wonderful condition. Wow!

Ohhh My! It's timeless isn't it?! The best part of a hundred years old and looking wonderful. A joint venture buy? Just imagine the postage across the Atlantic evey couple of months to keep both owners appeased!
Just out of interest, is this a buy it now price or is it being bid on? I haven't found this one on "the bay"
