Have you a picture of one so we know what we are looking for?

Thank's, Les ... that will help.
Finding a match to the threads may be difficult.
The pictured oiler is from another Marklin I have and the threads are not a perfect match.
I may have to build up the threaded surface with silver solder ? and cut new threads.

might be easier to make a new one, what is the thread on the bottom supposed to be, what is the diameter of the body and what is the surface finish?

Hi Kevin,
I'll get some measurements up ASAP, and see if I can figure out the thread size and pitch I need.
The finish is Nickel..... I assume over brass.

thats the key, im assuming its metric course but not knowing much about these im not sure, nickle plating is a pain but there are ways to do it at home, and yes it will be on brass in fact the one shown looks like its been polished down to the brass

the pitch of the knurl on the top is also interetting, try rubbing a soft pencil across it then roll it on a sheet of paper then you can measure the number of indentations per cm/inch whatever, 0.6mm pitch is an oft used size on these small components which is much finer than most available tooling in the UK 0.8mm pitch is considered fine
