excellent G-J. A good sized track you've got there. Love the sound. With all the fun people are having with trains, I think I might have to save up for one

True!
That leads to me a question. What do you think is a good one to start with?

Well I recon an SL1K would be a good start its a nut and bolter and you can assemble and dissassemble to your hearts content.

Runs really well now!
I wish I had that much space to get a track out like that nice and flat by the looks of things too
As a starter loco I would go for an SL1

Obviously MSS locos are living up to their reputation of good hauling power! I must admit that when I read the topic title I thought you had bought another engine!

not that flat MM small uphill gradient towards the garden. just a tempory layout as I was having steam withdrawals

Not too bad though GJ! I must admit
It will get better with every run, you probably have it fully run in now In suppose

getting close to being run in MM
now to work on the SL1K its very stiff and doesnt run too well even on the blocks so will have to do a lot more running in on that one
