Over the years I have owned ever MarX live steam engine made and as far as I know this is the only one that did not have a steal boiler. I have seen very few MarX engines with thin steal boilers that did not have a hole in them. I do not know why but in the video the stack looks like it has a blue spot on it but it does not it is all silver. Guess it was a reflection the naked eye could not see. I could not see it in the viewfinder only when I played it back.

I made a mistake it is Moundsville WV not Wheeling but if you have ever been up that way they are so close to each other hard to tell when you are leaving one and arriving at the other. All so here is the link for the museum.

Thanks, Jeff. I have wondered about the Marx engines for some time and it was a very interesting presentation

I'm apprehensive about steel boilers so it's good to know there was copper as well.

Today that engine, so obviously "inspired, would be impossible but so much more interesting as a historical curiosity
