Hi Bernie,
Not sure if Meccano is Whitworth or BA, Hobby Mechanic, in Kenmore (Brisbane) keeps a range of BA grub screws, ph 33742871, not cheap, up to $1.00 each.
Cheers

It's 5/32 and it's definitely not BA. It's either BSF or BSW (Whitworth) but I can't remember which. There are a few Meccano specialists on Ebay.

Mate, it's not BSW. 32tpi isn't in their tapping chart. Neither is a 5/32" thread.
They are a course thread, and English, but I can't find anything in my book that even comes close.

I've just checked a couple of Meccano gears I have. BA might not be right but BA4 will fit, it binds slightly at the end of the thread, closest to the axle, I'll send you down a couple of BA4 screws for you to experiment with if you like.
Cheers

I'll check when I get home. I have a selection of taps, dies and gauges so I'll see if I can find one that fits.

I'm pretty sure that the meccano bolts are the same size as the grubscrews. So you could cut the heads off of alot of them and then cut a super tiny slot for a screwdriver, there you go
