Meccano Rolling RoadI've just made this rolling road for steam locos:
http://rolysphotos.fotopic.net/c1104368.html
Being Meccano, it's totally adjustable. At the moment it's set up for the Mamod nut it should also take the Bowman 234 (just) and maybe even the Hornby Rocket.
As it happens, the Fotopic page also includes some pics of a red based SEL Standard. It's a bit rough but it is a red base so I'll probably leave it as is.

I like it.
I'll have to build that when I get my Mamod Loco as I don't have any O gauge track yet and I'm almost certain the loco I bought is going to need some tweaking to get running.

There's no reason why the basic idea can't be used for any wheeled vehicle. Without flanges on the vehicle, you'd have to provide some latteral support, or maybe you could use Meccano flanged wheels on the rolling road?
