Meccano traction engine Advert

This might be the traction engine who's plans I was looking for in Dad's booklets. I mentioned it before, as it said how many pounds it pulled. It was a lot.
Well here's a add.

Runs on 20amps too

It'd be cheaper than one of those 4inch scales though
I wonder if putting a SE3 in it would power it

Is that picture right? it's claming to pull a kid?
Wallace

Yup, it's right, I was a bit in too.

The booklet I first saw it in, with plans, claimed to pull around 40pound I think. Something big. I know whatever it was, it would easily pull my 3yr old daughter. It was using an electric motor Dad has, (same as in the crane pics and plans I posted), but didn't mention 20amps.

Electric welders here use a special 15amp socket. Normal sockets are less than that.

I see

Quite impressive none the less

I know where your going with the 20 amps thing. The blurb says it runs off a 20 amp HOUR accumulator (battery). Bascially if the motor was drawing 20 amps the battery would last one hour from full charge!
SPOKESMAN

Some fancilful, if not charming advertising there me suspects . . . .
