MFs wonderwick for German Vap burnersThe vap burners on Dads Bing are fired by a small burner which heats the top of the larger burner.
The problem is that when the meths (or "spiritus") runs out then the pilot wick burns down.
I got some of MFs 45mm wonderwick at STIA. But wasnt sure it would do the job
After MF emailing me I was reassurred and finally I have sorted it out.
A small piece for the MM1 wick (I know it should be the bigger size 
The current out of focus mop pieces and a go at Reids fibreglass threads
The wick comes in 5 woven sections, a cenral thicker core and 4 outer woven bits.
After gently unravelling I platted 3 together then the 4th.
I can only plat 3, but its better to do all together
Gently push them in, there is also room for half the 5the wick in each
It works (need trimming a bit)

In this case it it would be enough, if you just hold a firelighter for some time at the vaporising head.
That's the way i do it.
So i don't have to think about the pilot-flames
They are not necessary for keeping the big flame on

Thanks Mirko, I agree I just kept a match by it before but it made the burner sooty 
With industrial meths it works well just to light the pilot light
