I don't think it's a one off but not many had the money to spend on such a piece.
I think it's a very large German piece such as Carette, Falk, or Bing.

Oh my that is awesome Gil.
I think it maybe a Carette, the force feed pump looks like a Carette one.
How does it compare to the Doll vertical you have

Great engine, wish one of those would just follow me home one day
Agree, it's a Carette from 1911. Found this on Google Books, The Great Toys of Georges Carette.

That is just amazing. I bet it would cost a fortune to make those on a commercial scale today. The detail is just so exquisite.

This confirms it's a Carette.
Mirko had previously identified it as such.
It is nice to know this as the previous owner thought it may be a Falk.
This one must be the the 677/7 as it is about 22" high.

Congratulations to Connecticut, what a piece of luck! Those Carettes have a special air about them, very impressive.
A pity that the lever of the safety valve has gone...
Hope to see it steaming, though!

Thank you. I think I cam fabricate a new lever and weight if necessary.
If anyone has one to let go of, please let me know.

Yes...... And I thought the Doll was so big until I put Carette next to it.
I have been keeping the Doll on my desk. Perhaps the Carette needs a different room !

..unfortunately that burbner is not the original one.
But as you have a firebox door, you can't see the burner..so it is good as long as it works
A great engine! Simply great
I would love to see a video of it soon

NEWS:
I contacted Frank Kautzner about your engine and the burner and HE says this is the original Carette burner for this engine!
So you even have the original one with that beast!
Very unusual form that burner, so i was assuming it was not original. Also I never saw such one before...
But what Mr. Kautzner says is always the truth
