More Mamod Fuel Tablets......than you can shake a stick at!
I just found these today in a local antique shop (20 boxes):
And look what they came in! (20 are missing and box is a little rough)
Original price tag of $2.69 USD. I find it interesting that these were sold here instead of Esbit:
They were sitting on display on top of an old dining room set because the shop owner didn't quite know what they were for. She thought they were hand warmers.
There was also a boxed/unfired SE2a (missing the burner) but I passed on it because they wanted $142.95

Have you tried using any of them?
How have they been stored and do they have a shelf life?
I was given some old esbit tablets once and they burned very poorly.
Regards,
Gerald.

They do need to be kept in dry storage or they will take on moisture and burn poorly like you experienced. (I think they can even explode! )
I've burned esbit older than this without problems, but I have also burned damp esbit and it was no good.
The boxes show no sign of water damage and they do not have that musty smell that cardboard takes on when it does get damp, so hopefully they will be fine.

Wow, talk about buying in bulk!
At least the boxes look in good order, so i guess its reasonable to assume that the contents will be OK.
