Mr Nobles test boilerI thought you might like to see another item made by Mr Noble, who built the steam launch recently shown on the forum. This Is Mr Nobles test Boiler, built in 1901 so that he could test his steam engines under steam before finishing a model. The wood base has been made extra long to fit a number of different sized models. The boiler is coal fired with a lever safety valve, fillar plug and drainage valve. The boiler is fitted with six internal fire tubes and comes complete with the origanal wooden pattern for the fire grate. Although it will not be used again, I hope to clean the base and restore the look of the boiler.

Personally, I think the boiler looks great as it is.
Some collectors would kill for a patina like that.

Very nice, do you know anyone who could test the boiler for you as it would look great as it is coal fired.
