MTA's escapade on the NYMRNow I have a Bluetooth 'dongle', I can finally post pictures from my phone!
BR 4-6-0 4MT No. 75029 'The Green Knight' pulls into Pickering.
LNER 4-6-2 No. 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley', fresh from overhaul, in steam having just hauled my train in the headshunt at Pickering.
A broadside shot of SNG's nameplate. Again taken at Pickering. A couple more, but part of them seems to disappear into cyberspace!

One more pic of SNG as promised:
As taken from the train at Goathland. Now for a couple of pics and a video of a miniature railway in Scarborough, built to the unusual gauge of 20 inches...
Hudswell Clarke loco 'Triton', this loco was built in 1932, and is sadly powered by a diesel engine Built to a A3 outline, as is her twin:
Her name is 'Neptune', and is in lined BR Green, unlike 'Triton' who is painted in LNER Apple Green. Now the short video:

This is Neptune arriving at the station, which serves Scarborough's Sea life Centre.

I've just booked a few days away in a cottage near Pickering, in April. This is one of the reasons for going there...

When I went to Pickering on the railway in heartbeat country the diesel train broke down so the steam train had to be drafted in to replace it. It just shows you the old ways are always the best.

The MM2 twin idea hasn't faded away... it's just simmering on the back burner. Actually I bought a Mamod safety valve and thread at STIA, just in case I might need one.....
