Murphey

I mentioned in another thread that one of the reasons I have such a supportive partner, when it comes to steam toys, is down to a horse called Murphey. Here's a pic of him from last night (Black) and the other horse, Bobby (Brown) I don't own, I just seem to end up paying for.

Nice horses Manxy

Can't stand the things. Got a third horse at the stable as well. An older horse called Glen. Can I just say I didn't name them.

Hay! nices images!

I guess I may be a little harsh but Murphey falls over at the sight of a crisp bag and Bobby thinks he's a Ballet dancer. They eat money and take loads of looking after. However, they do allow me to buy steam toys. Murphey had a new saddle the other week. £900 and Glen needed the Vet a couple of weeks ago and that was £250. Trust me toy steam is nothing compared to owning a horse.

I like animals - but they need proper care! Steam engines are easier . . . .
Griffin

Nice Horses, nice to see they are well exercised, and yes they are very expensive to own and keep.

Ahhhh! Memories of yore But back then it only cost 10 shillings & sixpence for a full set of shoes (horse shoes, that is!)
James

Nice horses Manx!

We used to have 6 horses, got 5 now. Then we got all the rest. They are bloody bankrupting us Moonlight just had a new £500 saddle and Meg is on so many tpes of medicine for about £300 a month.

Believe it or not, I would have thought horse bills would have been higher! I dread to think the bill given to zoos when they have had an animal looked at

That's hilarious Manx, you must treat us to your splendid humour more often.

What great shot of Murph!

Maybe you should put cable TV in the stable so Bobby can
watch those Designer and Hair stylist reality shows.
James

Trust me MTA, they are!

People think if you have horses you are rich. I CAN confirm, it is the other way around. If you have horses they will eventually bankrupt you!

There's this fit lass at school (real fit) who has horses, oh aye, and a brand new Ifor Williams sheep trailer I told me old man and he said bloody hell lad get in there. I said why? He said cos you can have her, I'll have the trailer

James is right. They do just keep costing money and I can't even ride and no I don't want to learn, and yes I do know what I'm missing and no, it will not be fun once I get used to it and yes, I would look bloody silly in those trousers and a hat.

I'm really not an animal person. The horses are scarey but the 4 feral cats we brought for the stables are even more frightening. Again not my idea. I was getting used to seeing the odd rat or field mouse. Now I have to see the odd rat and 4 wild cats. Great.

So I take it you are not into Horses then
Mamodman123

James

Sorry to laugh at your anguish, but...

That really is very funny.
