My Bowman 140 "Bitsa"

Some time ago I bought a large boiler with a stem engine attached. Sorry about the picture.

The engine that was attached turned out to be a Bowman 140.

When I received it, I added some lubrication and air pressure and it ran.
I decided to strip and paint and polish.

With a little help from The Mooseman I got some dimensions and
instead of waiting until I found a boiler, I used one I had.
No idea what it is but with some patches, I borrowed the gold paint plan from SEL.
I found a fire box.  No idea what from and stripped and painted it.
Here are the results.

The burner is an Avon soap box and some spent 9mm shells.
(I'll probably use my gas burner to test it.)

I don't know which is supposed to go with what, but it sure goes together well.  I think it looks good, Mike.

That looks really nice! Great find!

On the first picture I thought the base had been cut in half, so it's a bonus for it to be whole!
Sandman

Great job there.

Yeah, so did I. Turns out it was just slid under the firebox.
That's probably why I got it so cheap.
The boiler is very heavy copper and about 3" in dia. and  7" long.
It should work great for my 10H and some other orphans.
Soulfly

Whatever you my call it its a great looking engine
Dr. Rog

Super resto.

And you have the monster still to use.
